SD Tint Help - Am I getting Screwed?

The ride is an '08 Sparkling Graphite E92 on Coral Red, I think I am set on going 35% all around and 65-70% on the windshield, but the pricing seems very high.

SD Tint - Suntek carbon tint, $450 with ceramic on the windshield, vinyl over the dot matrix.

Alvin O's - $500 35% all around with nothing on the windshield (Alvin said to bring the car back after 5days and he can make the dot matrix look good without vinyl)

Tint World off of Miramar - $360 Suntek all around including windshield, forgot to ask about vinyl.

All prices include removing the old tint which is on all three rear windows.

Now I know I am paying extra to remove the old tint, but these prices seem high (except Tint World).

I wasn't too impressed with Tint World and have seen mixed reviews, but SD Tint and Alvin have nothing but good reviews.

1. Are there any other good shops I'm missing? I have seached here and yelp/google.
2. Does this seem in line with what other e90ers have paid?
3. Would it be better getting it tinted in LA or somewhere on the way (close to 405, I have family up in the Valley...)??

Thanks for any help or recomendations.

SD tint is pretty good, they did mine recently (no windshield though, and no ceramic). theyre involved in the local euro community as well.

i went to SD tint- extremely nice guys- work hard and fast. They won't do front windshield- but after a year my tint looks flawless. Couldn't ask for more.

The ceramic is what drives the price up. If you call SD tint for a price without ceramic but including tint on the windshield, price will be in line with what the miramar place is asking

I had mine done at SD Tint as well. They do good work, and got me in same day. Cant remember exact cost, but was under 300 for all 4 windows w/35% and back window w/30%.
