DIY: Painting Center Caps

hi everyone i just wanted to post this cause i just replaced my hood and trunk roundel and my center caps on my wheels did not match so i decided to just paint them

tools: small flat head, heat gun, spray paint, knife, painters tape, something to paint on, a small piece of 600 grit sandpaper, something to clean the center caps, and something to paint on.

step 1: take off the center caps with the small flat head

step 2: lightly sand the areas that you want painted (no pic)

step 3: clean the caps

step 4: tape off everything that you dont want to paint, in my case i just wanted to paint the blue

step 5: begin to paint the caps, hold the spray paint about 8-10 inches away and make a couple of coats, in between coats i just a heat gun to speed up the drying process.

step 6: take off the tape after the paint has had a sufficient amount of time to dry

step 7: put em back on

Vinyl overlays are probably a better idea in the long run

Nice done but i would go with vinyl overlays as toxsuey said because
if you got bored of them you just throw them away

I clear-coated it after painting black and it looks good and paint won't fade
