High Air Flow Filter = Less Exhaust Gurgle???
I have just installed an AFE drop-in air filter and now my Performance Exhaust has next to no gurgle sound!
Does anyone has similar experience? I would rather sacrifice the higher airflow to get my gurgle back (put back the stock filter)! Is the higher airflow of the intake creating less pressure differential with the exhaust causing less vacuum in my PE leading to less gurgle? FYI, my car has a N52 engine. Thanks in advance. |

Im pretty sure sure your air-filter choice has nothing to do with your exhaust gurgle.
try putting your stock air filter back in and see if it comes back. then tell your friend to switch it back without you knowing. It may be all in your head. |

I switched back and forth yesterday between the stock filter and AFE filter... and the stock filter definitely produced a lot more exhaust POP...
What I want is the exhaust to pop more... is it normal that high air flow filter produces less pop? I might have mislabeled this thread... I thought exhaust gargle = pop |
