Help, loss of engine power and engine malfunction light

I've been out having some fun lately with my N54 coupe. However, there is an issue taking place which has me worried. Whenever I'm under full acceleration (wide open throttle) and go past 125-132 mph the engine power dies on me and I get the yellow engine light indication on the trip computer area. It has happened at different speeds within that range. Once the power shuts I wait for a while and the engine indication resets and the engine operation returns to normal (I have the new upgraded resistance JB4 installed). Has this happened to anyone else? I don't know if it has to do with engine misfires or if it is a top speed governor. Any insight would be appreciated.

Pull the codes but its not a misfire. Misfire trigger the SES light. Your talking about the car going into limp mode. It doesn't sound to be the water pump but could well be the fuel pump (low or high)

the top speed governor is set at 155mph anyway so its not that

its probably the HPFP, pull the codes, you can't know until then really.

What is your oil temp? Will go into limp mode at around 270 degrees.

i had this same problem.. Codes will probably be 29f2 and 29e2. Try changing your open fuel looping setting manually. You can learn how to do that on the jb4 sticky.. Except its now Future Use B not A on g5

If changing the fuel setting doesn't work. Probably the hpfp... just speculating though
