Drying car with air compressor
Hey, for those who use air compressor to dry their cars, do you know if this one is powerful enough to do it? It says up to 150psi. I never use an air compressor before, so I don't know how powerful it has to be in order to do the job. This one looks compact and reasonable price-wise.

Yea, I guess.
But! since the air tank is really small, you have to wait every min or so to allow the tank fill up the air. And it won't be last (maybe) 30 sec. $24 air compressor? that is probly good for paint spray gun for plastic models. I would recomand you to use leafblower if you REALLY don't want to use towels.

I use a leaf blower for 2 things....first to blow out water from smaller areas such as my grills, my lower bumber, and my wheels. Second, I use it to blow off any dust that might accumulate while parked in my garage (I don't drive my car much in the winter).
If you use the "flooding" technique on your final rinse after washing, there's really not a whole lot of water to worry about. I just dab with my oversize mf towels. I would think if you were trying to dry your entire car with a air compressor, it might be a little time consuming. But if you used it for the same reasons I use my leaf blower, then I would think it would be fine. My .02

only bad thing about a compressor is, after a few months of use, the inside of them start rusting, then it gets condensation inside, and then it makes like rusty water that collects inside it after a while. then your basically shooting rust onto your car...i cant see how this would be a good idea in the long run
