E90 EQ Settings for HK Logic 7 and BSW Stage 1 upgrade, What do others have?
I just installed the Bavsound Stage 1 upgrade in my Harman Kardon 2011 sedan, and I'm wondering what people have as far as EQ settings for these speakers. So far I think they are outstanding in all departments compared to the OEM L7 speakers, they were horribly ear piercing and the EQ was a real pain to get them to sound ok..thanks to a member on this forum for getting it into ball park.
here are my settings for the BSW upgrade in an iDrive sedan. 100hz -1 200hz -2 500hz -1 1khz +1 2khz -1 5khz +1 10khz +2 Treble +1 Bass 0 Logic 7 ON Again, I just got these installed a few days ago and I,m sure this will be changing. I'm curious what others have as far as settings? Soon I will do a full review on these, but so far I can tell you that these really do bring out the best of the Logic 7 system in all aspects. These guys at Bavsound did tons of research and it really shows, they are very efficient, punchy and clean.. and the separation is that much better. Last edited by shanes; 05-07-2014 at 09:16 AM.. |

Since it has been about 18 months since I've had the Bavsound stage one setup in my 2011 Logic 7 E90, I figure I'll provide an update of what I pretty much settled on here.
Treble +4 Bass 0 Fader and balance both at center. 100hz 0 200hz -2 500hz +2 1khz +3 2khz +2 5khz -1 10khz +2 I listen to pretty much everything from classic rock, 80's all genres, classical, hip hop, to White Zombe, Rage Against the Machine, to Bob Marley, so I just about cover the spectrum here, and it seems to work well. I'm looking to get the new Bavsound under seats pretty soon, I'm waiting on some reviews first, and for them to iron out any possible manufacturing snafus. If anyone has different settings for the HK + Bavsound setup, please share as there are really none out there for E9x cars. |

I'm looking at doing this same upgrade on my L7. I tend to like metal tweeters though some people think them too harsh. I noticed this kit has silk dome tweets. Can you comment specifically on what you noticed the difference to be on upgrade without doing any tweaks to the EQ? Also do you get more clean volume out of them with the stock amp? I can post up my current EQ settings for reference but it's pretty much bass heavy and measured with iMM-6 to be more/less a house curve.

Thanks for the update Shanes. I also have a 2011 335i M-sport sedan with the HK audio package. I did the Stage-1 BAV SOUND upgrade too. The highs are much brighter & the miss are less muddy. I was impressed at how much it transformed the listening experience. Now I can actually turn the volume up a little bit past halfway & actually enjoy it. It was a great purchase by all means.
And tight now I have a set of their ghost user seat subs to compliment & complete the whole upgrade. But they sent me out 8 ohms subs & i turns out I have 2 ohm. I will have to pst the results once I get that project done. The new drivers look like some high quality units in all regards… |
