I race cars that I don't think I can beat all the time. Just for the challenge. Why keep going against people I know I can beat (no fun). In most cases, I ended up winning.
03 Cobra- lost 11 5.0- heavily modded with NOS- can beat him as long as he don't use the bottle 11 Camaro SS- tune, exhaust, intake, custom headers- won ?? STI- DESTROYED him 04 Viper- pulled on him and then he let up The only cars that embarrass me was a few new Vettes and a GTR. In all, still had fun.

Nope, never ran meth (thinking about it). Intake, tune, exhaust, suspension upgrades, weight reduction, and 150 shot.

That's all we can do my friend. The tune is the biggest thing we can do for power. All you N/A owners should just stick to modding the exterior or something and forget trying to match 335 or even a 330 power..

"well what if superman was fighting a an alien cyclops but it shot kryptonite laser from its giant one eye, would he still then win???" And last I checked, there's no bolt on mod or group of mods that gets a 1-series n/a motor to 340hp (forced induction is not bolt-on) and even if there was, this thread was limited to 3-series. |

I use to have a 328 coupe 2008 6mt and now I have a 335 coupe 2011 6mt. There is a pretty big difference between the two but even though my 335i is now way faster especially since it's FBO lol I still loved my 328i. They are both great cars but the 335 feels a lot a lot faster. Here are some pictures of my old 328i and my new 335i.

Honestly, a stock 335i isn't too much quicker than my 330i. My father has a 335i e90 that I've driven quite extensively over the last few weeks and while it does have a noticeable amount of more pull than my 330i, it isn't as quick as I thought it was going to be when I first stepped into it. I'm expecting my catless headers and AA tune to even things up even more, not that I really care all that much about speed... I'm just enjoying modding my NA and getting the most out of the car as possible.
Of course with $$$ I've spent on my car, a 335i owner could be putting down 400+ at the wheels easy. But that's a moot point in my case.

There was a mazda6 this morning that beat me in a "biggest cajones" contest. I was doing 80-90 down 270, and this guy came up on my bumper doing 110 or so. He slowed down to 85 to pace me and try to get me to race him but there was no way that I was going to race some guy into triple digits on a heavily populated road in the rain. He eventually took back off and did about 100+ until he was out of sight. The guys was either a complete lout, a police officer, or one of bravest individuals I've seen (or a combination thereof) because I have NO IDEA how you can drive on i270 at sustained 100+mph speeds without having your car impounded. Yes, sir! And it's something we should be proud of. I can't stand the "my model is better than you model" mentality. There should be some mutual respect for fellow enthusiasts and their vehicles, mregardless of badging. |

Actually to be fair I am always tempted when a pimped civic s, rude boy exhaust corola or v6 mustang pulls up next to me at the lights. Those guys always underestimate the power of a 330i
