NYKline is so weak. I can't find any information on any of their ships on that ship locations site. They don't report them for some reason. Oh well. It's a little more than halfway here on its way to LA. Travel time is just about 4 weeks from Germany to San Diego.

Question: I got a production slot termed "Production Pack 112" whatever that means - is that the 112th day of production of the e90? Dealer said it should produce next week. When I call the number, it says "vehicle scheduled for production with no production date yet". Thoughts? Dealer said it should be here 7/30 but may trickle into early August. Ordered June 16.

bookman2 and jbl16,

I think my car is also on the Trinidad - have you succeeded in getting your VIN to track on the W&W site?

Mine is not coming up, and I was wondering whether I was in the right place.

Thanks!

Hmmmm. This is all I get:

(I put xxx where my VIN was...)

Maybe the car fell off... or worse, never made it on the boat in the first place.

Anyone else have this problem?

Thanks!

Mine is scheduled to finish production July 1. Also will arrive in Chas. I just ordered last week (June 16) so I'm pumped.

Did you just enter in the first 5 letters of your vin under cargo ID?
WBAVB? or do I enter in the entire VIN #?

Thanks.

jbl16,

Thanks for the screenshot - now I know what I am looking for. I wonder if you recall whether your car changed to "in transit" on the 800 number around the 15th when it was booked for the voyage, or around the 20th when it was loaded?

I am guessing that mine is not on the Trinidad after all, but perhaps was booked on the Freedom that left today - then it might appear at W&W in another couple of days.

Thanks!

It appeared on the 1800 number tuesday, on the shipping website wednesday. Apparently it takes a few days to update. Yeah you enter the whole vin number.

My car should be docking in the NJ port today! Hopefully I'll be driving it by this point next week! I know that's hopeful, but my dealer says that on top of it being a hot car, it's already a sold car, so it takes priority over the cars that are coming over just to sit on lots.

Setting aside the etiquette of quoting my own post, I wanted to let everyone know that the reason my car didn't show at W&W is that it is on a boat called Andes Highway, which is not a W&W boat (belongs to Wilmington Shipping Co). My salesman helped me clear that up. So no tracking...

The good news is that it will in Charleston on 7/3, a couple of days earlier than I expected! You can see vessel arrival at Charleston Port - useful if your boat doesn't track.

So I guess, not everyone's car will be trackeable exactly as mapped out in this thread at the top... aah the complexity of supply chains.

Unforuntately, the boat my car was on, Morning Sapphire, didn't track. I do know it docked today in NJ - now I can't track it anymore! Would my dealer have any idea when it's coming in? Or is it, "we'll know when it gets here"?

Your dealer will have the best idea. They have a tracking system and will know the trucking company and schedule as soon as anyone does. You may need to go to the dealer a day or two before you pick it up to finalize paperwork, money, registrations and so on, by which stage you'll be able to SEE it! Whoooo, hoooo, HOOO!

Just checked the tracking page and it says that it has been "discharged"

Does that mean that it has just left the ship or that it has left the port and heading towards the VPC.

Does anyone know?

Thanks!

For what it's worth, my order went from "en-route"
to "vehicle prep center" on Wednesday. Friday (two days later)I got a call from my dealer saying it arrived. I was counting on a week or two at prep center. Pleasantly surprised. East Coast delivery to Tampa, Fl. Picking it up Monday. Wooo Wooo!!

Oliver, a couple of things may be the reason your having trouble. First, be sure your entering your VIN correctly--I know it sounds silly but its easy to transpose a number or letter in a 17 digit string. The other (more likely) reason is that your car may be on another ship. It's my understanding that cars heading to dealers in the east and mid west come though the eastern ports of NY/NJ and Charleston, whereas those heading for customers out west come in on a different shipping line and dock at west coast ports. I see from your tag that you're in Houston, check your dealer to find out which shipping line services your area. Good luck.
