Msport steering wheel paddle options

Has anyone modified their Msport wheel with better paddles?? Or is the best option to just get an M3 wheel?

Can't you put the DCT (or is it m3) paddles, pretty sure they are PNP.

LCI paddles will need to be modded.

M3 paddles will be PnP.

You sure the m3 paddles are plug and play on the dct? I had a look at Pete's wheel and it looks different.

Petes wheel is m3 wheel + dct,paddles.
M3 paddles are the best of the lot. I wouldn't waste my time with the lci paddles.

m3 paddles are plug and play from a wiring perspective. but not from a design perspective.. there is a small gap which is why I purchased modified lci paddles as they fit perfectly within an M SPORT steering wheel. If you want M3 paddles I would personally just buy the M3 steering wheel.

+1 for LCI paddles (but they have to be modded). Now if only I can get mine to work and not just look sexy

DCT paddles are PnP. But as BMWPWR stated, the DCT paddles base are slightly smaller than the LCI, so while it fits into the Msport wheel paddle cutouts, there's small gap. However, once the DCT paddles are screwed on, it is secure and will not move around. So if you don't mind the gap (not that you can see it anyway unless you look behind), you have that option.

Or you can go with the whole m3 wheel + DCT paddle setup. Less of a headache

Pete has the M3 DCT wheel which I installed for him.

The M3 paddles will fit your Msport wheel... fitment however is better with the LCI paddles or your current SSG ones.

Just go the LCI modified paddles that way you can keep the perforated leather m sport steering wheel which also matches the handbrake lever that also has perforated leather. Keep it consistent and OEM, well that's my preference anyway!

Hey Stu do you know if the M Performance Steering wheel (the one with the blue stripe vs the yellow stripe) would have the same paddle slot as the M3 wheel?

I only ask because the one with the blue stripe is for the 1M right?

ps. I could potentially mixed the yellow and blue stripe around...

Bmwpwr have you got your lci paddles to work? They look pretty similar to the m3 ones, do you find then easier to reach/use?

The dct paddles stick out more within reach of your fingers than the LCI paddles. That's not saying you have to stretch to press the paddles.

The m3 wheel is also marginally smaller in diameter so it maybe the placebo effect.

My LCI paddles work, they came modified. All I did was rewire to sockets the same way the m3 dct paddles are wired and works perfect. I don't know what all the fuss is with the reach? Mine are perfectly fine
