Bump Stops - Beating a dead horse

I know I know, this topic comes up way to much. Believe me, I have searched and searched before posting this. It is hard to find someone with the same setup though.

I've been researching a lot about upgrading my suspension and finally settled on the old Version 1 Performance dampers and Eibach Pro Springs.

The forums are filled with threads talking about bumps stops and which ones to use on each kit. It is making me crazy.

I am currently running sport (ZSP) springs and dampers. The BMW Performance kit I purchased comes with bump stops, but from what I can tell and from my reading online, these are actually taller than my ZSP bump stops.

Is it OK to install the Eibach springs and old performance dampers, while retaining the ZSP bump stops?
Or, is it recommended that I not use the ZSP or the Performance bump stop, but instead purchase the V2 bump stops? Part numbers below.

Front - 31 33 6 789 540
Rear - 33 53 6 788 905

Thank you!

Any help with this? I'm really looking forward to getting the new parts installed, and have the dampers/springs already, but don't know what to do about the bump stops.

There is no definitive answer to this as you are trying something 'new'

Best compromise might be the E36 M3 front stops and E85 Z4 rears as per many others on here.

Cheers

Yves

+1.
Don't use the bumpstops that came w/the V1 kit!

Ok. That's what I needed to know. I'll look into getting new bump stops. Thanks!
