PE Exhaust - N55 same as N54? Might have made stupid mistake.
Trying to figure out if the Performance Exhaust is interchangeable or the same between N55 and N54.
I just bought what I thought was the correct BMW PE on eBay (new/power seller, 100% feefback etc). I then realized the part# is for 2010+ E90/335's. From the research I've done so far it looks like the N55 PE doesn't come with the new x pipe/resonator delete. Just the mufflers and clamps. I'm not worried about cancelling the order. I don't think that will be a problem. I'm wondering if there is any difference with the actual mufflers. They look identical from what I can tell. If I can't get a refund and get stuck with this setup will I be able to make it work? I'm thinking the mufflers are likely the same and I'd just have to have a shop delete the resonator. That's the only difference I can see. Any feedback would be appreciated as I have that sick feeling and obviously am pissed off I wasn't more careful. The eBay description didn't mention model year and I failed to scrub the part #.

The N55 has a single DP... not sure how the N55 exhaust is exactly routed.
http://www.bmw.com/com/en/owners/acc...catalogue.html You can use that to see how the parts look like...

Yeah... aware of the single DP. The N55 exhaust piping from the resonator back go from two to a single up to the DP.
The exhaust I bought is only axle back so I'm assuming the mufflers are likely identical. I can use what I bought and just have the shop delete the resonator. PE exhaust doesn't go all the way up to the DP's. It starts beyond the secondary cats. I'm thinking this will work for me. I'm currently straight-pip/muffler delete. These mufflers should be the same size and the rest is just removing the resonator.

the part # said 3/2010 and up.
I'm not worried. It should be fine. I'll have the shop remove the resonator and slap the mufflers on. Job done. Can't wait!
