Changing Springs. Throw a Code?
So I'm dropping it with an Eibach kit, and I have been shopping around for the best price for labor here in San Antonio. Almost everyone is telling me that I will need an alignment, so I am assuming that is correct. Yes?
Here's the real question, though. I found this "BMW Expert" on Craigslist (not a hooker LOL) and he is telling me that to just change out the springs, he's going to have to "do some reprogramming" on the computer because it's going to cause warning lights. Does that jibe?

Reprogramming for springs? He may be confusing the EDC system on the M3 but your car does not need reprogramming. Just a simple alignment after will do the trick.

Thanks guys. My instinct was telling me something wasn't right. That said, what is a reasonable price for a shop to swap the springs and realign? These quotes are all over the place.
