Procede not going online...

What does the above mean?
If my laptop can go online with the procede on my frens car, and not mine, what does it mean. Currently my procede not workign and its throwing CEL light everytime i start the car. Visnus already sent me another unit but i would just like to know those who have not been able to go online with the procede unit.
Even if the procede connector to the laptop is spoilt, the procede itself shud still work right and not throw any codes? My C-card reader on ignition on mode shows ----. So i am pretty confident there is no problem with the harness. Even have tested ground and power wire for consistency. All ok. Currently on bypass plugs and vacuum lines back to factory boost controller, drives with zilch problems. Pls chime in on the possibilities...

CHeers.

If your friends PROcede works in your car with your harness and your laptop it simply means that your PROcede is faulty.

Have you tried this ?

Absolutely. I am just narrowing down the possibilities to ease my install as now i know its nothing to do with my harness with bypass plugs. Raced a Type R and beat his ass with stock power. I am abt right, NO CEL light thrown, etc.My pair of tits working just fine.

I think you will be fine with the new unit. I'm just sorry for you that you had those huge efforts to sort out the problem. It's not a common one.

Good luck !

Eugen

Comment: have you checked that your serial connector is assigned to COM1??

Question: What is the CEL light?

Good luck with the new unit mate..It just happens sometimes to have some defective products and this time had happened to you.

Taking the advantage of this post there's a question came up to my mind.

Shiv: What happens if a piggyback device (which is not defective upon delivery) stops working after a certain amount time (after installation/purchase)?
Is there a guarantee for the piggyback for some certain amount of months/year(s) ?

Thanks

LOL, how do you know about the COM1 port and not know what a CEL is?

Emirachi...seems like you have a faulty PROcede unit if it works on your friend's car and not yours. but you already knew this, so wait for the new unit then test it out.
