I love that drive.

Did you go back up through North Lake Tahoe via 431 or around via 395 through Carson City?

431 is gorgeous and a whole lot of fun coming back into Reno, especially at night. I wished I had my car last time I was out there. The best thing I was able to rent at the time was a Mazda 6.

I like to go up there every year for a week during the summer for a little vacation.

sounds like a fun drive Michael. I feel for you with the HHR though, I had that as a rental for .12 miles of a drive during service one time, and oh god was it horrible

Nah I was going to Sacramento so I went on 80 through Donner Pass. I wanted to go and see lake tahoe from 431 heard it's beautiful. Had too much work so I didn't get to see it.

Mazda 6 is better than hhr the damn thing has zero pickup. I was so scared merging onto the highway in Cali

Welcome.

JB4 or Vishnu, is your preference. And yes if they see it, bye bye warranty.

HID angels = no no. You'll blind everyone on the road at night. But if I would have to pick a temp, I would say the LCIs are 6200k? Someone correct me if I'm wrong, I'm color blind.

well when you say "if they see it"

but what if everytime i goto the dealership i just take it off before? They cant just connect the key fob and see that it had it previously, or can they?

Well I want to have something bright as in what the new ones are coming with but I believe those are LED's, right?

whats the main difference between vishnu or jb4?

What is the difference between the COBB and the rest?

also with the JB4 or the vishnu though can you see it on the key fob when I do go to the dealership? Just out of the curiosity.

I am trying to gather info on all of them before i pull the trigger on one...

never had them look @ me funny when they put in the keyfob; i do not think it stores anything like that on it..for vish/jb just make sure codes are cleared; and cobb; just uninstall it and put your original rom back..

Cobb/Procede control timing, jb3/4 does not unless you get the additional module. It gets way more technical so if you want to know more, then search.

Cobb installs via OBD port, so there is nothing to do in the engine bay. Procede/Jb4 install physically into the ECU. Not hard by any means, but obviously takes more time than simply plugging into OBD and running the flash. I had a PROcede before and switched to Cobb, mainly due to it being easier to install/uninstall and I feel that the future will be with flash tunes. With that said, my PROcede was definitely faster since Cobb is only stage 1 tune right now.

You can't see it on a keyfob. Take off the tune when you visit the dealer, clear codes like Antik's said and you should be fine. Don't blow things up like Moe.

PS WTH Is a 335CI? You mean XI?

I was thinking the same thing! And, yeah, major differences are the timing control and that the Cobb is a flash and the other two are piggy-backs.

I've no need for the VIN without the tool, but how much did you get the tool for and where?

I bought it used. I'm offering to share it. You live close enough for us to share! I paid $190 for it used w/ 2 VIN's and I'm willing to sell a VIN for like $75. I'll pay a little more and keep it at my house when no one's using it, but will deliver it anytime you need it.

I think Joe and Dan and a few others are doing the same thing.

ahhh me likey. I think I'll bite on this if you can save it for a week or two. Trying to sell my old CAI and catback from my eclipse and I have a few potential buyers, but they're not local. slight tangent - anyone know anyone who would be interested in these?

Lol he lives like...5 minutes walking distance from my house.

Check your codes? What battery did you end up getting? I checked and the BMW one was like 269.99. I was going to go autozone when/if mine dies.

I got the optima yellow, but after a day of driving, it didn't fit right so I went back and got an interstate for 109 with a discount. Same specs as the oem and I just resetted the battery with the BT. Done. Saved me 400. haha

And it's only 175 on tischer. But I couldn't wait for the shipping. Needed my car. I would order one before yours die! haha

Sweet thanks man! I'm definitely interested, but gotta get those parts sold. I'll be in touch.

In the meantime, will the BT allow you to reset the maintenance displays etc, like the stuff that a dealer has to reset normally?
