aftermarket custom exhaust help
I am looking for some guidance on exhausts for my E93 335i cabriolet.
I have recently purchased some aftermarket bumpers and on fitting the rear the bodyshop discovered that the standard exhaust will not work and that I need to replace the rear boxes. On further examining the exhaust I understand that the 335 exhaust is a single piece exhaust from the cats back, so will need to have the whole thing replaced. I have the option to have a custom stainless steel exhaust made but I have a few concerns. The main one being will the car loose power if we do not exactly match the exhaust thats one the car? Also that the sound from the exhaust will be significantly louder than stock and also loose the characteristic note i get from the 335. Has anyone replaced there exhaust or could you provide me with any useful information that ensures that I have it made to the correct specifications Thanks Phantom |

Thanks for the suggestion but I'd rather an individual car than a clone. M sport kit is not really my preference thanks.
Just looking for the tech guys to give me some advice |

i believe that bmw's have 2 catbacks where the first one is to do with emissions and power and stuff like that and the second one is mostly just for noise levels....
some one correct me if im wrong but i have found that a lot of people who actually convert their cars exhausts 2 aftermarket ones for aesthetics usually go down the custom exhaust rouite as well |
