They vary from the 335i as 335i has up/down with same lever, forward backward movement as opposed to one movement for the alternative |

The 335i stock ones are not intutive. Either left or right paddle can change up and down. You pull either to change up and push either to change down.
Its bloody confusing and does not match up with my G25 Logitech wheel on PS3 Grand Tourismo The usual behaviour on paddles in most performance cars is left paddle pull = downshift and right paddle pull = upshift. The M3 DCT ones do exactly that. I ordered some M3 paddles from USA. Andrew will probably pay you to fit them when i drop car in to get pedals updated to metal ones. |

There is a thread, on the diy section, where a person changed the paddles and altered the wiring so the left paddle was - and the right paddle was +. I was looking at doing that but after spending some time on the track found the dual paddles pretty good. |

Yeah I found that thread but prefer the feel of the M3 ones. More solid click when changing gears. Also this way I can sell the other paddles and recoup some money,

Actually, the feel of the M3 wheel with the OEM 335i paddles is pretty good as well.
No retro fitting needed as the stock paddles will work on the M wheel without cutting etc. Wrong continent, I know. |

My paddles arrived Friday.
Followed DIY thread here: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...+remove+airbag Took me 20 min to do the job. They feel great. So much more intuitive with a solid click when you change. I hated manual mode before and now I am enjoying it. |
