I have a late 2008 e92 m sport and want to get the ipod retrofit kit.

was just at bmw and they said that this item:

will fit but it will not display the playing song on the screen.

I have the professional CD player if that helps.... but no cd changer so this has to be programmed.

can someone confirm this or are they talking out of their bums?

Also I have been looking into adding tweeters to the front? can I connect any tweeter, do i need to purchase the Alpine HI-FI's wiring loom or connect just like that or use a crossover?

Looks like the MOST adapter.

It does show the song playing. Further, it allows you to browse the iPod without iDrive. Just ask your dealer to "iPod your BMW".

I had this retrofit performed for ~$450 total.

Sorry, I can't help with the tweeters.
