Sure, but that doesn't quite provide the same feeling. And this product is definitely about feeling, not performance (unless you have unnaturally slow reflexes ).

From the reviews I have read I was hopping that it would reduce acceleration lag (similar to the "Sport" button on other BMWs). It doesn't, but I'm so desperate I was ready to try anything

However, with that being said, in some situations it is nice to have it on "red" since our pedals aren't very reactive I find. Sometimes it's nice to have full gas without having to fully press the pedal. And sometimes it isn't
