Variations of the M3 Hood

Don't know what it is, but the bulge in the M3 hood doesn't do it for me. It is necessary to clear the engine (or components) or would a 335 hood work?

Also, how do you guys think a stock e92 335 hood would look with just the M3 vents and no bulge? Can any of you pshop experts do something like that?

The stock 335 hood will not fit on the M3 without some modification. The m3 hood is wider and will require some work to make fit.

I don't think the bulge is there for any clearence issues. It could be just for legacy reasons.

I'm with the OP. I don't like the bump at all.
