e90 lci HID fog issue

So I first installed the fogs on my sisters 09 e90 lci and they stayed on for only a few seconds.

then i soldered in the capacitor since thats what I did on my pre-lci and it worked.

Now the fogs stay on fine, but after a minute or two I get an error that says that the bulb is out, even though the fogs are still on and getting power.

Any ideas as to why this is occurring?

not helpful, but I'm not sure what the problem is. I have an 09 e90 LCI too. I soldered 2200uf capacitors to my HID harness and it worked fine. I do realize that the warning lights come on every now and then but you shouldnt worry since the fogs still work. If it really bothers you, you can try resoldering another capacitor on another harness?

It is just a cheap ebay HID kit, it works great and never had error code on my 2011 E90 LCI, I drove daily and had fog on all the time at night
