Looking for new tyres

Hi all,

Just browsing for new tyres and wanted to confirm that for my 2010 LCI E90 the following would tyres would be suitable:-

Rear: Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 - 255/35 R18 94Y XL FP TL

Front: Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 - 225/40 R18 92Y XL FP TL

Let me know what you think or what other recommendations you have.

Thanks

I ran Asymmetric 2's and loved them, however this time round I went for Nexen N8000's at a fraction of the price and to be honest you in my opinion you can't notice the difference at all. I bought the set from tyre leader.co.uk (265/30/19 & 235/35/19) for £340 delivered.

I just put the Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2's on my wife's Volvo S80 - they're a really nice tire, and have really nice rim protection too!! Will be putting a set on my E90 shortly

The Goodyear tyres are very good.

They come in at the bottom end of the premium price range too.

All things considered, they are hard to beat.

why not go bigger??

less arch gap from taller profile, better ride quality from bigger sidewall, more grip from wider tyres... been discussed loadsa times and everybody is always happy with going bigger... more precise speedometre also

and also higher top speed

but seriously, bigger is better

I think falken FK453 are good in 255/30/19 for £150 each they grip with my power level and torque (375BHP /570 lb ft) I've booted the car in them loads of times and got just shy of 10k out of them which is good, i expect more now the honeymoon period is over with the new power level.

Interested in the nexens, what model are they?

Are these all run flat tyres or do people bin them ?

I take it you can fit non run flat tyres onto the alloy no issues ?

Most on here get rid of them. Normal tyres are fine to fit.

Just get a little compressor and some tyre weld in case you get a puncture.
