Sat Nav guidance voice

I am the new owner of an Alpina B3 BT, which has the professional Sat Nav set up.
Unfortunately the directions are spoken in an awful female American voice .
I have just got a new 2011 DVD, but it still speaks to me in the same awful voice.
Is it possible to change it to a nice English voice, if so how.

Welcome to the forum, I am sorry to say but the voice cannot be changed, one thing you change is having a short description. However I dont think the voice on mine is American sounds English to me?

Have you had chance to hear the voice commands on another BMW to see if they do differ?

Was the Alpina B3BT to UK spec (from Sytners) or an import?.

And finally how are you finding the Alpina B3BT?

I think I would sooner an American voice rather than a BBC newscaster's voice - much sexier accent but then that's only my opinion.

I have not heard another yet, but I have spoken to a fellow B3BT owner, and his has the American voice as well.
He wants to change it also.
My B3 was a Sytner supplied car.
Have not had much of a chance to use it properly yet, but will be doing a few hundred miles in a week or so, that will give me the opportunity to compare the B3 with my old B10 V8.

Can't be changed.

I'd far rather had the PR4L......(Posh Radio4 Lady)
