E92 6mt but same difference..I mean go ahead and try vrsf for cheap maybe and see if you like the sound, can always resell them and spend more $ on catted if you choose
Nice, I did my first MHD flash today and i'm amazed at how easy it was. I played around with the burble and set it at aggressive 2 sec. I was worried it was gonna sound like popcorn/tin cannish but the tone sounds good just like the stock burble but much louder.

If I had it to do all over again, I would probably have kept my AR catless DPs and put up with the rasp, since the rasp I have now at ~5k RPM with the catted is not all that much less severe than what I had with the catless. I will say the cold start is much less of a wake the dead proposition with catted than it was with catless. Damn that sh!t was loud.

I meant to mention -- I'm having (MMP) inlets and outlets put in today! Any other IS owners got 'em? I've also put in the N20 TMAP sensor, so BQ is going to come up with a new custom E60 flash for me to allow for these new steps in the build. This may finally get me to drag my ass to the dyno down the way and see how close I've gotten to 500 whp.

Yeah, I mean if your rasp was gone completely then I would consider. If not, might as well enjoy the power and just put up with it.

Angry Nice Car!

I am new to this forum and need some assistance. My 2007 BMW 335i has been giving a lot of exhaust smell and its getting to be very annoying and a problem of coarse. I took it to my BMW mechanic and he said there is nothing he can do. He said it will wear off and he said that this models are a piece of Sh_t. I drive the car around and park it in my garage and the whole garage smells like exhaust and even the inside of the house. I have been trying to learn more about this problem and what actually causes it but have not had much luck. Does anyone know what causes this problem or how to fix it? I am thinking about taking to another mechanic or the dealership but I don't trust them either.

Any ideas?

Thank you!

This is probably the wrong thread to post in. This is for "is" cars. That aside I personally have never heard of that issue.

First, buy your mechanic a copy of the book, "Your Ass and a Hole in the Ground: A Comparative Study." Second, take your car to a mechanic who has read that book and ask him (or her) to check the entire exhaust to see if the downpipes are catless and if the secondary catalytic converters are also missing. (If you can jack your car up on your own, you can check this out yourself.) The exhaust on this car can reek like being stuck in the Holland Tunnel with the windows rolled down if both sets of cats have been removed.

For the DCT owners out there, how often do you shift your gears manually? I've been driving my car manual since I bought it even in bumper to bumper traffic. Very rarely I'll put it in auto D for a bit then back to manual.

However I did notice it upshifts a lot smoother in D compared to manual shifts.

Almost never. Only when my coffee is full. Shifts in D seem to take forever. If I need it in full auto mode I keep it in D, but press the sport button - smooth shifts with no shift lag.

When alone in the car, I shift manually +sport mode. When spousal unit is in the car, I use D +sport mode as her preference.

Every saturday that is good weather, I typically have to work. Usually the only Saturday's I have off cars and coffee ends up being cancelled or rescheduled. I had planned on going to the Nationwide one until they changed the date :/ Next time I have a Saturday off I'll be in Tennessee. I'm not sure why they wouldn't host these on Sunday's instead.

Are you going to the Alum Creek meet on the 24? I should be there

What do you need to know?

Just drop the belly pan, drain the fluid by unscrewing the drain bolt, wait till that trickles to a stop, put drain bolt back, undo fill bolt, insert pump and start pumping until it flows out of the fill bolt, put fill bolt back, raise car up (lift is preferred), start car, hold throttle at about 2.5-3 RPM, then open the fill bolt again (careful cause that downpipe gets real hot, real quick), and add fluid till it runs out of the fill bolt (wont be too much), then just put the fill bolt back and youre good!

If you're just doing a drain and fill like what I did, I only used like....3 quarts of DCT fluid.

I suspect you'll use more if you decide to drop the pan and change out the filters. Theres two of them, a pressure filter and a pan filter.

I thought there were all these temperature stipulations for these things.
