oil changed by dealer at 3000 miles
Bought my car in December, 2005.
December 2006, got my oil changed after one year, even though the car said I had 3000 miles left. At that time, my SA told me that they changed the oil but were not allowed to reset the system because it was the one year change, not because the car said I needed it. So my system tells me I need new oil three days ago. I scheduled an appointment... and they changed the oil again! Free! Anyone else with this experience? I really like my dealer/service

had my oil changed late last month, which makes it a year.
told SA that when it was being worked on earlier (by another service dealer), the thing had been reset (they hadn't changed the oil) and at the time had 7000 more miles to go. he told me he's not resetting it with this oil change and will oil change free when the 7000 is up. i thought, cool.

Had the same thing happen with mine. Changed the oil at the one year mark, but didnt reset the indicator. Only had about 3K left, once the 3K was up they changed it again.
