New O2's made the car run perfect so my pre cat bank 2 sensor was definitely faulty. After BQ took a look at my logs, he noticed a leaky injector on bank 2 but i have no symptoms yet. Replacing 4-6 injectors with Index 12's on Monday so we'll see how it goes!

1000hp Vetter is already obnoxious so noisy tires won't be as noticible as in quiet 3-series. I still can't get use to the noise and is been almost 2 months. I'm glad the o2 sensors made difference. Regarding the leaking injector, can you or BQ explain it as I would really like to know how one pin points leaking injector from reading logs.

The most specific you will get is Bank 1 or 2. I would guess that the only way to find the one is to pull the injectors and do a leak test.

2009 135i 6MT  [0.00]
I had an injector fail in spectacular fashion. It must have got stuck wide open. Replaced the injector and changed the oil as I took the oil cap off and it smelt like a petrol tank. No other issues to speak of, I'm hoping I didn't get any damage from bore wash, but it seems to have been fine ever since and that was a year ago so I would hope I was lucky.

Was shocked to go from no injector issues to wide open injector though. It was throwing a serious amount of fuel in!! Even when the motor wasn't running, I could actually hear it throwing petrol in when the LPFP primed!!!!

I misread your original post asking for the exact injector. Yeah i dont think thats really possible unless you have parameters specific to each cylinder you can log and go off of.... I replaced the plugs, coils, pre cat O2's, new stage 2 LPFP, injectors tomorrow. I literally have like nothing else to try at this point so its worth a go! Lol

Pull the plugs on the bank I called out the possible leaking injector. One of your plugs should be darker than the others. That would be the injector to pull for viewing. If your changing all in the bank then it doesn't matter after confirming vissually you have leak.

BTW you cannot mix injector index on the same bank. The index must be the same on the same bank

Yeah, bought 3 Index 12's that i should be putting in tomorrow as well as coding. Ill also be doing a compression test for peace of mind.

Injectors seem pretty easy to replace. Why are some people paying upwards of $3000 from the BMW dealership for this? Am i missing something?

One of the reasons leaky injectors wreck engines, is the petrol slowly dilutes the oil by running down the bore past the rings and into the sump. Eventually the engine spins a shell/throws a rod.

If you know you've had a leaky injector. I would 100% be changing your oil.

I don't have personal experience with the 595 RSRR but from what I've read it's middle of the pack for lap times in the 200tw group with RE71R dominating and keeping up with NT01s.

For one most people don't know how to get INPA running to code them and secondly a lot of people aren't DIYers.

This statement is not entirely true.

I am running different indexes in each bank and it works without issues (none of injectors are above index 9).

I think your statements refers to the latest index 12 injectors.

You can still find index 10 or lower injectors ?
Usually when people buy BMW parts they buy the latest part number, however in this particular case if you trying to wing it with the funds then understood if you car came with index 10 or lower injectors.
Many have mixed index 10 or lower with index 11 and up without any negative effect, including my personal experience over the course of 3 years and 30+ track events. Is only recommend. Not a must. That is why they require coding for flow and capacity and there is no feature where you let the ECU know is index 1 of 11.

Here's a video confirming what I've been reading. Rival 1.5 is very close to the RE71R but a bit slower, every other 200tw tire is way behind (including RS3, ZIISS). However I've also read the RS4 is close to the 1.5.

Now, granted it's on a light car in Autox so on a heavy car like an E90 and on track it could definitely be different for the others.
