ran out of oil....a piece of sheet metal somehow pierced my oil cooler and the car didnt warn me until it was to late

The front tube has to come off anyway. So no issue there. The only trouble is the rear, as it will only come out if you cut it (without dropping the engine). The new rear upgraded inlet would just have to be engineered to install with the engine in place which is definitely doable. The only problem then would be reverting back to the stock rear induction tube if so desired, then the engine would need to be dropped.

Your scaring me man. I'm on low oil and the dealer is closed so I couldn't get any today and I've been driving on it lol

Your insurance company might be able to help you since a road hazard caused the failure, maybe.

^ this. If it really was debris that somehow managed to puncture your oil cooler and cause the catastrophic failure, then I don't see how it's any different that hydrolocking.
