[Mid_West]

When I got my car a few years ago I noticed it had an AA Xede chip in it. While I liked the power I removed it when I took the car to the dealer and never put it back in. My warranty has now expired so Im thinking of reinstalling it.

My question is this: Im sure my car has been updated with the most recent software. If I install my Xede again will it trigger the "hidden codes" and if so does that mean that I will have a check engine light (or something worse) on my dashboard? I dont mind if the computer puts a flag saying that Im one of the evil tuner types but I dont want it to render my car useless or constantly remind me that I like to over boost
