Anyone installed IOS4 yet on their iphone?

I believe IOS4 is released today for iphone 3 owners as a free upgrade (will give same interface as iphone 4 as well as the software based features of the new phone - 3GS users also get multi-tasking

)

Just wondered if anyone has installed this yet and is it any good??

Does the phone still work OK in the car once upgraded?

Was hoping to upgrade tonight when I get home from work, but a litle apprehensive after so many people had issues when upgrading to iphone 3 when initially released.

I thought its release date was 21 Jun? Its still listed as 'coming soon' on the Apple website.

You can only upgrade the OS, so it will have the same software functionality as the iPhone 4, but obviously you wont get any hardware improvements. The upgrade will be available via iTunes from 21 Jun, so you'll be asked if you want to upgrade the first time you sync after that.

You will get the newer style interface and muti-tasking, well the limited amount that Apple is giving us, and any other software improvements that the Iphone4 has

There's a chap called Viv who has the latest OS4 software on his phone already as there is a hack available, so you can ask him.

However, you'd have to find him first, because I think he's lost somewhere

the gold developer version is out and you can hack it onto your handset

i'm waiting for the new one though, plus mine is jailbroken so need to wait for that also

I believe he is a moderator on "Phelching World" now, and that seems to be taking up a lot of his time.

no, it is not out yet.. it is only out if you are a registered developer

public release is the 21st (or 24th?)

Multitasking is only for the 3GS' phones. Everyone else is SOL.
