Nurburgring car rental question
I am heading on a family trip through Germany at the end of the month and I was able to talk my wife into spending a day at the Nurburgring. Now she has also given me the go ahead to drive on the track, but as I have a company leased car I can't drive it. I am looking for options of renting a car for a lap or more with all inclusive insurance and gear. I have searched the forum and it seems like the guys on here make rather frequent trips so can someone point me int he right direction? It doesn't have to be a BMW, but that would be a plus if the price was right.

Why not just pay for a passenger trip in the BMW Ring Taxis ....... sure you aren't driving but being taken round there by a pro has to be a buzz.

I thought about this, but they stop running at the end of October. That would have been a good option if they were still running in November when I am going to be there.

I rented a 320 from rentracecar.de or similar, google will find it.
Very good, proper seats, caged, decent rubber and brakes. A mate lost the €500 deposit by sideswiping a 911 that overtook on the wrong side. Strangely enough he's not wanted to go again! Many years ago did a dozen laps in a hire car picked up from Koln airport while there on business, wouldn't do or recommend this though, they all have exclusions now. Never been in November, might be a gamble with the weather.

£500 lost deposit is NOTHING compared to costs if it had been his own car most likely! It's a good option.
Rent4ring are they the guys that do the little swifts? Also trade as Aarow Performance? They are great guys. Really friendly and extremely knowledgeable. I got my brake fluid done there after boiling it when I was last there. Charged me a pittifully small amount for a brilliant service. Great setup..

Had a look at the website I think there was a "0" missing from the OP. Some of the more exotic cars have eye watering excess (maybe Insurance4carhire.co.uk will cover it. Not) Mike |
