DVD Player in 2007 E92 335d

I'd like to have DVDs played whilst driving to keep front seat passengers entertained on long drives. Does anyone know how to do this either through the sat nav dvd or aftermarket additional dvd player. Many thanks.

I see your UK so you can do this (we in US don't get that). There's a coding option in the CAPPL module:

VIDEO_DENY_C0B
deny_slow_key -> deny_never

You'll need an INPA K+DCan cable and NCSExpert to do this, or look for an Autologic shop.

Thankyou much appreciated. Does this allow the sat nav player to play discs or an additional player? Many thanks.

I assumed you already could play DVDs while stopped. If not, then you need to make sure your car has the DVD video option (I believe it is S689A in the VO).

This was not an option for US CCC systems so I can't be of much further help.

You can get an interface that connects to the back of the screen and allows a portable dvd player to be linked up. For sound you need to use the AUX port.

I was toying with the idea and you could also connect up a tv tuner.

I've got the dvd headrests for the kids and discovered today that they can be plugged into the AUX port so you get really good sound quality rather than the sound from the built in speakers. Also on mine there is an FM button and this means you can have wireless sound via an FM station but there is a little static at times.

I will maybe try one of those in car freeview tuners and connect it to the headrest/AUX
