Just need to get everything off and literally swap it.
Hmm..I'll need to go buy something to cut with I suppose.

Do these instructions apply to the N55/e90, for anyone who has installed a FMIC on one before? Do I really need to remove the bumper?

No, if you're using a lift, you do not need to remove the bumper. If that is the case, unclamp all the hoses and clips, then slide it out. You'll have to just slide the new one in and connect it in all the areas. Should be no problem.

Even without a lift you dont need to remove the bumber however you need to use some high rhino ramps and tilt up the IC. It is more difficult but for the DIY person without a lift, it works.

I've got some good rhino ramps I planned to use. Tilt up the IC?

Yes, when you are on your back trying to get the FMIC in place you will have it behind your head (unless you are very skinny and you have enough clearance), pick it up, tilt slightly so that you dont bang your head...

Oh for maneuvering room. So the plan is to attempt this on Saturday with the rhino ramps and without removing the bumper. Cutting, install, etc. Still nervous about this one as the most I've done to the car on my own is installed a charge pipe and LUX headlights.

Agreed on the pics. The forums hate high reso photos, and apparently the iPhone takes high ones. HAHA.
