I'm currently running 6000K for my low beams.
For visibility, 6000K (pure white) is awsome. I've also ran 8000K for a few weeks. More blue, but I can't see a thing going up my driveway. Hope that helps! |

8000K has significant output loss comparing to 6000K IMO. 6000K FTW!!!

Hi guys, I'm somewhat new to this forum...I joined a while ago and have been coming on every now and then. Can I get some quick advice? This is kind of a side question, but since we're on the topic of headlights....I'm looking to do some work on my headlights. I bought my bimmer that came with the standard xenons but am looking to change the halo/rings to a brighter white--should I go with Lux 5.0 or PIAA? Also, are the PIAA 8000K Spark H7 bulbs the bulb that go in the headlights? Sorry i'm kind of a newbie when it comes to the anatomy of my vehicle...any help is appreciated, thanks!!

I'd recommend going with the 6000k, it is, IMO, the best compromise between light output and improved color. The 8000k is a bit too aqua for my taste whereas the 6000k is a nice pure white with a hint of blue.
Here is a full 6000k setup to give you an idea: |
