Are these lights a gimmick?

I need to replace my passenger side headlight and I've kind of thought about switching to the euro light/LCI. Here's the link to one of the headlights in question, Ebay is full of weird ads like this.

Would it be PNP? I kind of want to just switch to the LCI or the euro but I don't know if there would be a bunch of coding and rewiring involved. $120 seems too low for both of those headlights, I feel like I'll get a picture of the headlights in the mail instead..

They're not oem, so I'd kinda worry about them failing or being cheaply made.

they arent oem, but they are a cheaper option. they put time and money into these lights. if they work they are a great buy. still looks 100X better then halogens.

get them if you like them and are affordable. or you can spend 10 times more for oems. your choice.

Thanks, that's about all I needed to hear. I think I'll either do an LCI conversion and keep a pure bimmer.

I've had a set of these on a mercedes SLK. Not the best projectors, but a far cry from halogens. For the price they perform excellent. Cutoff isn't like OEM, but it's passable.

I got a pair when I first bought my car, the cutoff when 15 feet into the sky. I got pulled over and ticketed for what the cop said "lighting up the Walgreens building" it was that bad.

Bad set? Mine weren't nearly as bad once properly adjusted.
My cutoff line was ~2inches thick at 30ft.

I called the seller and they sent me another set too. Got it "adjusted" from them before they shipped, at close range the line is fine but at the far right the light sharply cuts off upward and blinds other drivers. I ended up just forking out for euro xenons.
