Whats the lowest offset possible on a e90?
Im looking at buying some Avant Garde M359 19". Ive seen two sets
19x9 ET 18 19X10 ET 25 and 19x9 ET 35 19X10 ET 38 What would be the best setup or combination of wheels? I was thinking maybe 35 and 25 |

What do you think of these tires sizes for a lowered E90. I'm down 1.9" front from stock non-sport suspension and 1.5" on rear.
19 x 8.5 ET 18 - 225/35/19 19 x 9.5 ET 32 - 285/30/19 Think I'll clear okay? W/O rubbing? Any chance I could run a wider / meatier tire up front? |

235/265 on 19 inch rims will cause a disparity in the size of the wheels. The front wheels will be larger than the rears, and will affect the speedo readings, so that when your speedo says 60, you are actually going 59 mph.
The front wheel is 25.48 inches in diameter, while the rears at 265 are 25.26 inches, making the front end point to the sky, in a sense. I found the best size to be 275/30/19 in the rears, would be closer in size at 25.5 inches in diameter. Rubbing will depend upon the tire brand. Some tires are more square at the shoulder than others. I have OEM M3 Style 219M wheels, with ET29 Front/ET23 Rear on 18-inch 8.5F/9.5R rims. No problem up front, but I occasionally feel the momentary rub when the rears bottom out. It is so occasional that I didn't bother to do anything about rolling the fenders in the back. My ride is a pre-lci e90.

OP 265 is normally paired with 235, while 275 is normally paired with 245. |

You may need to get the rears rolled. Depends on your alignment and what tires you get(some brands run narrow and others run wide). You could probably run a 5 mm spacer easily in the front.

Check the diameters for yourself to make sure they are correct before you start spouting "normally" paired sizes.

I am sure others may have done this, but my 219M wheels up front have ET29 without issues, even on the plus size tire that I installed (235/40/18). IMO, any ET smaller than ET29 that might become an issue with turning lock to lock, but I could be wrong, which I freely admit. Just sayin' from my experiences...

Stock sizes are 225/255 the size difference front to back is the same as 235/265. Might want to complain to BMW that their engineers don't know what they are doing. |

The tire size difference is no big deal at all. It's still under 1%, which is the ideal for AWD cars due to the transfer case. RWD/FWD cars can tolerate an even bigger differential between front/rear with no ill effects.
Of couse, the closer they are together the better, but you're making the 0.2" difference a way bigger deal than it really is, flip.

Guys, guys, I am not trying to make a big deal out of anything. I wasn't talking about 18-inch wheels, because I know that 235/265 is perfect. I actually run 235F/265F where the wheel diameter is 25.4"F/25.3"R, whereas at 225F/255R, the wheel diameter is 25.09"F/25.03"R, which is also negligible. I went plus size to get a little more sidewall, myself. However, at 19-inch, the appropriate sizes, according to the numbers and not me (based on the calculator at the top of this forum), would be 225F/265R, which equates to 25.2"F/25.26"R or 235F/275R, which equates to 25.48"F/25.5"R, also negligible front to back. So, there is a slight difference between 18-inch and 19-inch wheels besides size, price, and specs. I'm sure it doesn't matter, really, about the sizes, but if you pair 235/35/19F with 265/30/19R, your front tire will be taller by roughly a quarter of an inch, not that it would make much of a difference. So, as you can see, I am just anal retentive about proper matching wheels front to back, so that's where I am coming from, as an A/R perfectionist. Not really sweating the details, but I only wanted to offer a different perspective, which is my opinion, and one can take it or leave it. It's all good!

As someone else said you do realize the stock sport package sizes of 225/40 and 255/35 are also off the same way the 235/35 and 265/30 19s are (taller in the front). You also have to consider the width of the wheels vs the size of the tires.
