2010 328 audio sucks...what can I do
Bought my car back in November and really haven't driven it with the windows down on the highway up until this weekend. Had a new CD in and noticed that certain songs would lead to loud cracking. The radio really didn't sound that loud in the car as the windows and sunroof were open and I was cruising at highway speeds. Had this issue a few times in the past, but just thought it was the crappy audio quality of the internet radio station I had on. Is there anything the dealer can do about this? In the end, I'm guessing they will tell me that the audio system is just crap and that I should have upgraded to the HK??

Yeah, that is a bit true. We got the HK and it is AMAZING! However, like you said, the radio is not as high quality as say an MP3. (I think that's what you said) So when I put on a local station, the sound isn't all surround and low-bassey.
Basically, check the quality of your files and get the HK |

Have you tried the upgrade midrange/tweeter speakers from BSW? Go to their web site Bavarian Sound Werks, they got a kit where you yank the OEM speakers and put new tweeters & midranges speakers, don't have to touch the subwoofer on the HiFi (base) system. The instructions are quite comprehensive, and you don't loose any of the feature of GPS integrated audio system. I was thrilled to hear the "new rich sound" coming out. It took me no more than three hours to do the four speakers for my e93 w/nav.

i have the same issue... i'm thinking of putting some sound deadening in like dynamat. it allows less of the noise to get muffled and lost to the metal doors. the quality of the sound will be better in the car...
i've done it to a previous car and had great results.
