vinyl + orange reflector (e92)

before I went ahead and painted the orange reflector I wanted to try some vinyl. I was unable to get an exact match (space gray is not very comon in vinyl), but I did however find a sparkling graphite color. I wanted to try it out and see if the offset in colors will give the car a nice contrast. Personally I'd prefer SG vinyl over the orange reflector, but then again I think I'll just have the body shop paint the reflector...or maybe jump in on that group buy for painted ones....just wanted to see what people thought.

btw, it took me about 10min total to stick the vinyl on the reflectors. Just stick a ptach on and carefully use a blade to outline the edges...no need to take the reflector off:rocks:

Well it's decent but kind of odd considering that it's the only SG on the car.

However I kind of like it, so either way it's up to you man.

Get the trim around your windows the same color and that would look pretty nice.

yea, the more I look at the pics the more it seems "off". It did however look a little better in the direct sunlight (almost corbon fiber).

thanks.

Lights are off. If i decide to keep the vinyl on I'll go ahead and use a heat gun to remove the bubbles (pic#2 bottom of reflector).

I got the vinyl from a sign shop. They didn't charge me anything since the peice I needed was so small.

Its better than amber.

But painted ones would look even better. I'm looking for sapphire painted reflectors. I know someone has a link or contact.

I think its closed...if there is another one soon I'll jump on that. Otherwise I'll have a local place paint it, or I can purchase them from www.bimman.com next month.

Which sign shop did you go to?

Did you just go to any sticker shop (ie. mall kiosk) or was this a specialty sign shop (ie. Sign a Rama)?

Fast Signs:
http://www.fastsigns.com/vinyl-banners.html

any place that can do a vinyl sign or lettering on windows should have large vinyl rolls.
