Rake on XI's??/

Hey Guys, does the rake affect the suspension at all on xdrives? I just had V1s installed yesterday and I wanted to raise the back end about 1/4 inch.

Here's a pic:

How do you like the V1's? Has it got rid of the body roll and floatiness of the xDrive suspension?

Yup, the roll is def gone, I can finally enjoy taking the turns now. The ride is noticeably stiffer than stock!

Noticeably stiffer than stock in a good way? Is it jarring when going over bumps and potholes?

You should be fine raising the back 1/4"

On smooth roads it's fine, but you do feel every bump. You do sacrifice some comfort for this.

Tks, I'm not sure of the settings, I told him I wanted a one finger gap. I may end up taking these off at the end of summer and putting the OEM back on.

I like the look of your ride now? Why do you want to change the rake? Are the back tires rubbing?

Hey Bladerunner ( I like your name ), since you have to get an alignment anyways, why not get it corner balanced? I did. Pics are with "corner balanced" car.

OP I understand your rake issue, and trust me I hate RAKE!.. you walk everyday to your car thinking "why" lol, along with the floaty unpredictable ride. Rake is a clearance issue and doesn't affect the xi..
I have had V1's for a bit now and I raised my rears because I don't like the flat back stance on the xi sedan when you do an even drop. You gotta coupe so you're fine, and your stance looks correct!! You're almosttttt flat back but you're good.

My rear lift..

I have V1s as well on my LCI E92. I had the rear spring perch at max drop and ran 15mm spacers on Style 193M with no issues. I raised it up 1/4" (then back to about 1/8) when I put 20"s on and no issues.

Ride looks good btw !

Thanks! I've left it the same for two winters. First winter was bad and I got stuck in the snow for 3 hours lol. Second winter was non-existent so I was fine. I just swap out for my stock 17's.

I've got a bit of rake on my xDrive. I believe I've since lowered the front a tad more and my KW V1s are bottomed out up front.

looks great. If anyone needs a set of HPA koni coilover 336/616 with external adjustable rear shocks and swift thrust sheets on all four corners I'm selling mine. I only had them for two weeks. There not for me going a different rout. $1500

Thanks. I've been riding on this suspension for so long I don't remember what stock feels like.
