Hey guys I am about to purchase some items off of an 07 e90 m3 such as brakes, rotors, control arms, bushings, diff, drive shaft....basically everything off the back end.

I just wanted to know if it will all fit my 08 e92 335i...i know the diff will need a little modification but if anything needs mods then please let me know.

I need to see how much I should pay for all this stuff to make it worth while if i need to modify too much of it.

Suspension parts will fit, yes, including the subframe brushings. Don't have experience with the other items.

Subframe brushings and rear sway are very expensive to install since the subframe has to be dropped. 6-7 hrs.

Neither the rear sway nor the subframe brushings are worth doing unless you have a limited-slip differential. Here's one small review:

If you are getting the complete rear subframe with the final drive and all suspension and brakes, everything should bolt up with some driveshaft modification.

im not sure but since i just want something firm and minimal rebound ill probably just get the kw v1. hopefully those are firm enough...i just need to adjust height so i dont rub, but probably gonna need to roll a little bit of fenders. i wanna run 285 in the rear.

only problem is i dont really wanna modify my driveshaft cause if i dont like it or there is vibration from modifying it wrong or maybe rebalancing worng i would be pissed that I have to buy a new drive shaft for my 335i.

Ok. Suspension/drivetrain is something you want to do right the first time. I would advise doing a lot more research before you proceed with any of this, based on the questions you're asking.

The standard sport suspension in the 3-series is decent; I would not modify it for the sake of modifying it. If your goal is to simply adjust the height of the car and make the ride firmer/more complaint, then coilovers are a good bet. Search here to see what people are using ..... KW V1 is popular, I have no experience with them however.

i used to own an e46 m3 and i want it that firm with no rebound just like that car. this car is too squishy for me...the kw v1 is gonna probably be my choice as the price is good as long as they are pretty firm.

as for diff i am set on wavetrac as i will be doing very minimal track so clutch type is too expensive for the little gain i will see vs wavetrac. and ive done some reasearch and it seems that wavetrac and quaife are about the same in the performance area even though some people claim that they feel that quaife puts down power better. but i dont see how this is really all that possible since the 2 are about the same disign and about the same size and material.

most likely ill be sticking with the 3.08 final drive as the 2.56 does seem a bit tall even though i could get 2nd gear all the way to about 85 mph =) compared to about 71 in 3.08

Gotcha. I have a Quaife 3.08 in mine, it's a huge upgrade over the stock open diff. Even if it was just for the street, I would do the upgrade again.

If you do the diff, the M3 subframe brushings are a must. The stock subframe brushings are rubbery and allow the subframe to move around a lot .... it is really noticeable under heavy acceleration. The M3 ones also transmit a lot more 'feel' through the chassis. I added the M3 front and rear sways at the same time, which improved the tautness of the chassis. The rear sway is much thicker (read: car fishtails easier, so you have to be careful w/ throttle in turns). Front is same thickness but slightly tweaked. A major difference with both is the much harder end links ... that is what tightens the feel up.

Been driving for a few days now with the parts in, 150 miles or so. Absolutely love what the sways have done for the overall feel of the chassis. It is noticeably tighter, no play. Body roll is lessened. I can toss the car through corners a bit more freely.

The LSD is also great. I got it for the track but even on the street, the difference is noticeable. The entire M3 suspension is a fantastic upgrade. New, the parts are $2k or so. And install is about $1-1.5k, depending where you go. That is what I would do if you're OK with stock ride height. They are all plug and play:

You could do pieces at a time. Cheaper labor-wise in the long run to do it all at once.

M3 suspension does not change ride height, so if you want that to be different, you could start with coilovers instead. Personally I would do the M3 suspension first and then go with the coilovers. You have a lot of choices when it comes to coilovers but only one choice for replacing the parts with M3 ones ....
