Thanks guys, I am smitten after my drive home. God I love the smell of burning chemicals (manufacturing coatings ?) from very hot new engines

controls felt very natural after my E60, however you have to be a systems engineer to work the DAB radio! Have got the hang of it now, but did not know that digital radio stations were grouped in sets of 12.

Handling is veeeeeeeeeeesweet after the 5er and E class I have driven recently. Definitely the right choice to go down in size.

JW BMW

Nice to see another SE far to many M sports (We are real suckers for these in the UK and BMW are laughing all the way to the bank with us paying an extra grand or so for a few bits of plastic).

Great colour combo - saw a new 635d in this combo today - so yummy

335diesel SE's are the best end of, and with the 230's there just the icing on the cake!

I did see the article. I think the concentrated to much on the engine and not enough about the car overall. 650 Redundent? in the real world I guess the 635d is a better proposition. But a 4.8 litre V8 must be so nice in this car it would be a sad day when these type of engines no longer exist.

The large sports coupe market must be watching 635d sales like a hawk. Jag XK8 diesel in the next yr, they must be working on an engine.

Money no object I'd still have the 650 badge on the back of mine and keep my 335d for everyday!

Agreed about the 650 hence the exclaimation mark. V8 would give you both the torque and the revs until the green brigade strike

JW, you have DAB- you'll have it if you have any combination of SatNav, Bluetooth and/or DAB.

because a shark is a predator, the 335d is a shark. It hunts down whatevers in its path. It devoures them and moves on to its next victim

You were very lucky not causing more damage to the car hitting that pothole Carl. It seems the car following you at the time wasn't as lucky

Very nice car jwbmw

Don't worry about it JW- I point out ridiculously less obvious details to Carlos all of the time, don't I, Carlimpmode?!

Congratulations on your new baby, BTW.
