LCI Headlight Question
Did anyone try to disconnect or change the color of those 3 orange lights on LCI headLight? I didnt look into the headlight and wiring yet but just wondering if anything can be done with it. I dont like those orange lights.

to replace it however is a different story.
you need to remove the wheel, then the wheel well. from there there are 3( or 4) screws that hold on the metal heatsink, the thing with the fins. There are probalby some wires attached to it as well. From there, you need to trim back the thin plastic cover over the LED. Removing the LED is SOO hard. its soldered in 3 places, under each of the 2 arms, then once under the base of the LED If you have a Hot soldering iron, you can heat up each arm, then use a screw driver to bend it up. Once both arms are up - somehow remove the LED ( aka you will probably need to break it off) you will need thermal paste under the new LED, and then will need to re-solder the 2 arms back down. Make sure you solder it in the correct direction. The LED i think does have Reverse protection, however it will not last too long. its hard to see, but look at the left headlight of this picture |

I'm going to raise this thread from the dead. Has anyone figured out how to code out the three small led lights above the blinker? These lights are specific to e90 LCI models.

Thanks for the suggestion.
I've been trying to accomplish this with coding, to no avail. I tried all of the suggestions on the cheat sheets. The problem is that the LCI has an additional 3 small LEDs at the top of the corner light that I've been trying to disable. |
