well if they stop spending a half million on photo shoots with low flying aircraft and scared ass New Yorkers we wouldn't have this problem

this is absolute crap. If GPS did not work, the DOD would not be investing heavily in it at our nations Universities, there are grants for GPS technology which will safely land military aircraft, not something you can just give up on

True story, but the USAF (and the rest of the world) will most likely meet its obligations and get the new "birds" into space at a quicker pace (which will of course cost more $$ ). The first replacement GPS satellite is 3 years overdue, as it's currently planned to go up in space this Nov., 2009. Read more here:
