I have the new media system, 6FL and the business hi-fi in our E92. Have to admit I am impressed by the business system and I have had a logic 7 set-up. It's funny because I noticed that it had tweeters in the front doors which I only thought you get with L7 but perhaps not. Seem BMW have made some changes to the Hi-Fi as the standard system is much better than before.

New media system is awesome, CD ripping works and the IPOD intergration is great although the cheap gits don't give you the cable which is an outrage especially as my Cayman gets one as standard if you order the IPOD interface.

Still need to get some pics of mine, too busy taking pictures of the Cayman

Hi Scott, are you going to re-map the 325d? Might end up quicker than your old 330i then.

That's good to hear, because the business system isn't a massively expensive extra .

Another quick question, if a car had Media Package - BMW Professional, does this include Bluetooth?

Yes, media package would include bluetooth. With my iphone and blackberry it reads contacts automatically. The system is pretty clever too, e.g. if you answer a call using your handset then it directs call straight to it (for privacy, and ofcourse only :-P either when stationary or with someone else driving)

Thanks

What percentage of cars on BMWs Used car search have some sort of upgraded hifi do you think? None of the E90s on there mention Business / Logic 7 etc... I'd have thought it would be a common option to have.

Yes the Media Package is quite comprehensive: Go to BMW UK and 'car configurator', when you click on the option 'Media Package professional it will list what is included.
You can also build the exact car you have been offered and see exactly how much it would cost full list price without discounts.

Yes the £2k is from BMW and is for cars registered by the 30th September, so if you wait till after then that £2k is going to be lost on the deal.

Though i read somewhere else that they are giving £3k towards the X5 till end of November i think, so dont know if they have pushed the date out on the 3 series again.

As for the 13% they have 15% in a car so you know where your at...

Take it, it is a car that is in stock, think you will find it hard to find a 335d unregistered there is very few in the country.

I had assumed it would be a factory order, in which case the registration would defo not be in time for the end of the month.... I thought the deal was for cars ordered before end of Sept.

But anyway, I'm not ordering it, so I think i'll stick to getting a used one.... I'm not in a hurry so can wait until one comes up that I like

I got 14.something% off my 335i, plus a huge rate cut on the finance, reducing payments by thousands, and with no BMW UK incentive,

If BMW UK are giving 2K off the car then a further 13%+ should be attainable ON TOP OF THAT.

If dealers are just using the BMW 2K incentive to reduce their own discounting then its a waste of time for customers.....

I received 18.5% plus freebies ...and the dealership actually bought the car in from another groups new stock!

I was having a similar conversation with someone else, whom a BMW dealer told they have 3% margin .

Obviously everyone's got to make a living. I was in the right place at the right time, and I don't think they'd have sold it to me at a loss. Perhaps not all dealerships get the same level of discount from BMW.

They will sell at a loss if it means raking in thousands in bonuses... for hitting certain figures for the quarter of half year.
