Right, but with a turbo system that is designed around 5psi suddenly has one of it's boost control devices ripped out, forcing it to run basically at 100% duty cycle, you don't get the oem boost curve. a 1 psi fluctuation turns into a 3-4 psi fluctuation when you're running more boost. My JBX at 25% setup would spike to 14ish, come down to 12 and bleed off to 9-10psi at redline.

As far as performance in a straight line, how would you compare with JBX? Will it run side by side with a JBX at 25%, 50%, 100% or will it require R turned on to match V3?

Comparisons will need to wait. But I would anticipate the power, at default settings, will be similar to the R switch. |

I haven't dyno'd it and I haven't raced my own car. Sorry. Feels way faster, but ass dynos lie. JBX can only be set to 25% before it starts pulling timing on our crappy 91 octane gas. R switch couldn't be turned without race gas. That said, I would put money on the v3 car vs the JBX on 91 octane... but as I said, it's not all about peak numbers, you'll get a much broader powerband with the v3 with less fall off at the upper rpms, and less hesitation on a 2-3 and 3-4 shift. |
