Lower din?
Wondering if anyone has done anything custom with the blank din below the cd/dvd drive. Radar detector, gauges etc. Was there an option that put something there?
I noticed some models have seat heaters there but mine is just a blank din (seat heaters near AC knobs) If you have or seen it done share some pictures Thanks |

PRE LCI's had optional heated seats / other various buttons
Not sure if its the same size (1 series) but my friend put an aftermarket deck there to preserve his factory deck for all the OEM features while using a high end deck below for audio.

The "brains" for the Idrive sit behind that panel. It's the lower half of the CD player. There is only an inch of clearance between the panel and the Idrive unit.

Thanks for the info Denny,
Seemed like a waste of space but that makes sense. Seemed like it would be a convenient place to put something like this: Not exactly eye level but would look better than some window sticky |
