Seat Diagnostic Help - INPA Error Logs Inside

Here is a little background to the issue i am investigating:

Car: 2007 335i w/ 50k

Issue: The driver's side heated seat stopped working recently. When the button is pushed, the three indicator lights turn on, then turn off almost immediately. There is also and audible 'click' noise, which I traced to somewhere under the seat.

I got around to setting up my OBD cable and INPA, and here is the error I read from the driver's seat module:

Finally got around to setting up my OBD cable, and this was the codes that were read from the driver's seat module:

**************************************
9E5A Fehler Schnell heizfeld Kissen

signal oder Wert oberhalb Schwelle
Testbedingungen erfullt
Fehler momentan vorhanden und bereits gespeichert
Fehler wurde kein aufleuchten einer Warnlampe verursachen

Error Code: 9E 5A 61 2C 88 4D
**************************************

a little internet translation later, and we get...

**************************************
9E5A Error fast heating area NTC cushion

Error will not cause a warning light
Error is not currently present
Test conditions have been completed

Error Code: 9E 5A 61 2C 88 4D
**************************************

I also did a live status read of the seat's cushion temperature and it read a constant -40C, which I would assume means the cushion temp sensor is not reading correctly/at all.

I have searched high and low and found nothing of substance on this error code.

Anyone have any experience or direction with what's going on here? I am guessing based on the error and the seat temperature reading that there is a fault in the temperature sensor.

Your cheapest option is to dismount the upholstery of the seat and review the NTC wiring.
NTC is the temperature sensor installed at the heated mat (where you are sitted, not the backrest) Also you could buy new NTC at a 'Electronic Stuff Store' and swap it.

The expensive way is to buy a brand new upholstery for your car and again change it from your old one.

Regards.

PS:
If you dont have leather, the heated mat is glued to the sponge of the seat.
If you have leather, the heated mat is installed inside the leather upholstery
