I would imagine that, when things are going well, being captain of one of things is akin to being a hotel manager; everything going smoothly, everyone doing their job, no problems.
Only when there is a real problem does everyone look to someone suitably skilled and qualified to lead them through the event - that's what they earn their money for. And that f*cking chicken-shit ran for the hills, beating hundreds of passengers off of his own vessel, leaving everyone running round without someone coordinating a practiced and rehearsed evacuation. He is a disgrace to the uniform he wore.

I don't think now there will be any more survivors. Friday the 13th was unlucky for those people

Channel 4 played the radio between the costguard and the Captain, who was in a life boat.
The Coastguard was rightly going ballistic, and told the Captain to get back to the ship F*** to meet his officers. Unbelievable...the captain even said he was co-ordinating this from the life-boat.

He's also apparently admitted to sailing too close to the island in order to salute a former captain, something he's done on previous occasions (unauthorised). Absolutely barking |

I read a tweet today that said he accidently 'fell' into a lifeboat in the same way that some people 'fall' onto thngs that get stuck up their arse.

From the Telegraph:
"I tripped and I ended up in one of the boats. That’s how I found myself there.” He said he got stuck in the lifeboat for an hour before it was lowered into the water off the coast of Giglio island. Also with him was Dimitri Christidis, the Greek second in command of the Concordia and Silvia Coronica, the third officer, according to La Repubblica newspaper. It seems like all three tripped! It reads like a script from a spoof disaster movie with Leslie Neilson playing Cpt Schettino. |

Thought I might try and lighten the mood with a wee game for the Concordia Captian or F**KEN COWARD who should be strung up by his nut's and flogged for a while.
http://www.addictinggames.com/car-games/parkmyboat.jsp Pitty the people who died on the boat never "fell into a life raft". |

George Michael sympathises with the Captain of the stricken liner saying:
"I'm often left abandoned with a badly damaged rear end and spent seamen in my bottom after a night cruisin'..."

I noticed in the latest pictures/reports on the tv. Smitz salvage team setting up to remove the 2500 tonnes of heavy oil from its 13 fuel tanks it said they will start on Saturday, replacing the oil with water so it doesnt move the ship .
I for one would love to see how they repair a 250 ft hole and try and refloat her .Or will it just be cut up 114,500 tonnes off scrap metal. |

Next question, what will they do with the bloody thing. Two options, scrap or a refit, renamed and sold to Far Eastern cruise line to cruise the Pacific where no one has ever heard of the Costa Concordia. |
