Enter direct raw GPS coordinates

I have googled, and tried the RTFM without success.

I have a E92 335i 2010 Sep build with Satnav. I can easily enter street addesses for destinations. But, how does one enter raw gps cordinates as a destination?

since you have a 2010 you can go to www.googlemaps.com then type in the coordinates in yy° yy' yy" N/S, xx° xx' xx" E/W format and if the location is in america then you can click on send in the upper right of the map and then under send to click on car, then select bmw, then enter the last 7 of your VIN. When you get in your car you should be able to see that location under myinfo or messages in the bmw assist folder.

Thanks, unfortunately this is not available in South Africa.

Such a pity, entering raw coordinates is such a basic functionality for gps navigation. Much of South African destinations are not available as street addresses, only raw coordinates.

If you go to Interactive Map and Zoom out to a 1-2.5 mile scale, and move your cursor to the general area that you are looking for, it displays the GPS coordinates. Find the general Area, zoom in to get a slightly closer view to fine tune your location and select. The coordinates will be display in a routable destination. I hope this works for you.
