Downpipe info?

I was searching but nothing came up, i know they use the same engine but is the downpipe on the 335d the same as the one on the X5D, if it is the same i'm looking to buy one

Curious what you're looking to do or why you need a replacement?

I believe the DPF filter and interconneted piping is effectively serving as your "downpipe."

Thats exactly why, i'm having someone doing a downpipe for me and deleting the DPF.Do you know if the European version uses the same downpipe, cause there were a couple on sale but i'm affraid to buy it and it won't fit

I cannot say for sure if it's even the US 335d DPF downpipe is the same let alone the European version. Did you try looking up the part numbers on realoem?

They're working on a DPF delete for US spec cars at VS Motorsports (http://www.vsmotorsports.com/) based on an email that I recently received after looking for the same thing. It may be a few months in development though. VS is the authorized Evolve dealer in the US. Seems like they can do a remap currently but I'm going to wait and get everything done at the same time.

Amigos got a response from ECOTUNE:

Hi Axel,

Unfortunately it doesn't fit... I have tried to get a US original part so we can make one for your market. The software is almost identical and one USA customer had his car on a rolling road after our software and getting a custom downpipe. He achieved 374hp/540ft lbs...

I have attached a dyno graph of a recent 535d in our workshop which had this modification.

Axel, I think you should start a new thread for Ecotune, maybe start with their email reply you posted above. I think more people will see the post that way, and maybe someone will be able to help with the downpipe problem. I'll post the dyno in your new thread.
