I think the shop doing the work has to report it on the car's maintenance history, which they didn't do. The guy I sold it to knew everything that had been done. Re-manned turbo, engine swap, etc. He's planning on driving it till it dies, but then again so was I lol.

This past January, I distinctly remeber when you wished you were closer to me in order to assist me retrofitting a used 2015 335i xDrive N55 engine into my 2011 335i xDrive. I gladly thanked you for your generous offer but explained it would take 6 to 8 weeks to erect my portable HF Canvass garage due to the cold and the weather. The HF portable garage will be erected over the Easter four day weekend.

Is there a possibility some personnel are taking too long to complete the repair after removing the housing?

Anything like parts delays, broken coolant fittings to the head etc will cause the system to be open for prolonged periods.
