confirmation.. f30 M calipers on pre-lci 330xi?
So I've been reading all related threads for 2 days now and I was hoping for some definite answers yay or nay...
Ecs has a M f30 bbk kit for 1600$.. thinking about purchasing but I wanted to know: Do I need new lines, wear sensors and dust shields? Ecs doesn't come with dust shields but I'd imaging with a larger rotor would need a larger dust shield...? And the obvious question... are they a perfect direct bolt on? I was also wondering does bmw make the other bbk kit (gold caliper) for the xi and is it a direct bolt on if so? Ecs doesn't offer it for my car... only the f30 M set. I see them installed on a lot of non xi... but didn't see to many on the xi without mods and shaving. Just making sure of a couple things before I pull the trigger. I'm on 19's btw so clearance isn't an issue. Thanks |

If you have read ALL threads you would know the answers.
-$1600 for f30 front brakes isn't the best deal -you can reuse the brake lines if you want to -f30 brake sensors to my knowledge aren't compatible -you can reuse the dust shield if you want to -BMW doesn't make brakes, especially not these, they are made by Brembo -if you go with f30 you ought to replace the master brake cylinder too -f30 fit on XI with out moding -those gold are identical with 135i and require moding |

Thank u. Maybe I missed some posts, just wanted a definite yes before I bought them. I realize the ecs price isn't the best and some of those parts weren't needed so I appreciate the help. I may just keep an eye on ebay etc and put the kit together myself for a little less. I knew they were brembo I was just referring the the calipers marked BMW Performance, bbk kit I saw for the non xi models. Thanks again

Reach out to Rob1024. He can refer you to the seller he bought his brakes from. Best deal yet. Don't bother with those gold painted BMW Performance. They are not good. Also, you can look into stock f30 335i brakes. They are 340mm and still a great upgrade for 330xi.
